Event Design

This page showcases my work in event design, including event logos, promotional materials, and on-site signage. Each piece is crafted to capture the spirit of the event while creating a cohesive visual experience from start to finish.

2036 Summer Olympics at Casablanca

This is a hypothetical visual identity for the Summer Olympics if they were held in Casablanca, Morocco. I took inspiration from the many patterns in Moroccan culture, ultimately landing on the Berbers of Morocco. They are the descendants of the prehistoric Caspian culture of North Africa, eventually converting to Sunni Islam. Using a combination of their tribe marks, I created this logo and supporting pictograms, nodding to the fact that these are ancient marks by keeping the sketched look, for the different events, swag and promotional materials.

The Box Tattoo Convention

This was a project in experiential marketing. I decided to have my uncle’s tattoo shop, The Box, host a hypothetical tattoo convention, named The Heartland Tattoo Convention, a common nickname for Ohio where the tattoo shop is located. I drew the logo and designed marketing materials for the event including a billboard, poster, and social media content. I also designed the booths, aftercare cards, and special edition soap and lotion.

Axolotl Call-To-Action Event

This is a hypothetical event connected to an article about axolotls I had designed previously. The main goals for this project were to raise money and awareness that axolotls are critically endangered, despite being very popular in entertainment, and need our help to restore their numbers.

This would be set in an aquarium, and when a family arrives to the attraction, they would be met with an employee handing out Axolotl Handbooks and corresponding sticker sheets. Kids would be given the Handbook and go on a scavenger hunt for all the different types of axolotl morphs in the tank, and the adults would be given the sticker sheet to mark when the kids found each morph. When the Handbook is completed, families can take it to the gift shop and receive a complimentary axolotl keychain or stuffie. There will be an animated poster in the room explaining some fun facts about axolotls (stills are pictured in the bottom left of the image). There would also be a wall display of the decline of Lake Xochimilco, pictured above, where axolotls are native. Finally, the gift shop would contain loads of axolotl merch and all proceeds go to conservation of the axolotl’s habitat in Mexico.
