Wilton Congregational Church
Website Redesign
For this project, I worked on redesigning the website for Wilton Congregational Church to create a more user-friendly and visually appealing online presence. The goal was to reflect the church's welcoming, community-oriented values while ensuring easy access to key information for church members and newcomers alike.
I focused on simplifying navigation and creating an intuitive layout that highlighted important content like service schedules, event calendars, and outreach programs. The website was built to be fully responsive, ensuring an optimal user experience across devices.
The redesign process for the Wilton Congregational Church website began with a thorough analysis of the church's digital presence. I started by conducting a SWOT analysis to assess the current website's performance and identify areas for improvement. This gave me valuable insights into what was working well and where there was room for growth.
I then created three target personas to better understand the diverse needs of the church's online audience. These personas helped guide my design decisions, ensuring the website would cater to both new visitors and long-time members, offering content that was easy to find and engaging for all.
Next, I explored the existing sitemap and identified areas where the site could be reorganized to enhance usability. I laid out the current structure and then reimagined it to make the navigation more intuitive and user-friendly. The goal was to streamline the user experience and ensure that visitors could easily find key information, such as service times, events, and outreach programs.

Next, I created moodboard options to explore various design directions. First, I evaluated the website’s current style guide, which I felt was strong but lacked vibrance. To build on this foundation, I created a moodboard for the current site, followed by three options for the redesign.
